About us

At Artisan Garden Rooms we offer a complete turnkey solution, we can design & build contemporary, bespoke garden rooms to suit any size garden space, our buildings are fully insulated allowing year-round use. Our team will take care of all aspects of the project, from the initial clearing of the site, the complete building process including all electrical work and finally to decorating the internal space to your specification.

The process

1. The consultation

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you just need a space to practice Yoga uninterrupted. Whatever it is, we will discuss your requirements, measure your garden space and help you to design your bespoke building.

2. The design

Once we have discussed all of your requirements and run through all of the different options available, we will design and fully cost your bespoke garden room. You will receive a plan and a 3D rendering to fully understand how the building will look and allow you to plan your internal layout.

3. The installation

Our in-house team will arrive on site and begin the installing of your garden room, starting with our composite and treated timber base system, full PIR insulation throughout the building, clad with one of our maintenance-free options, all electrical works and finished with a rubber EDPM roof.

PLANNING PERMISSION

We can build our garden rooms to comply with the Permitted Development rules so this means that in most cases there is no need for you to submit a Planning Application.

10 YEAR GUARANTEE

To give our customers absolute peace of mind, all Ascot Garden Retreats buildings come with a comprehensive 10 year structural guarantee as standard. See our FAQ’s section for details.

FOUNDATIONS

We use treated structural timbers on our base work above ground level and these timbers are all supported by recycled composite posts that are then supported by concrete below ground level.

FULLY INSULATED

Our buildings are designed to be used all year round so we use market leading PIR insulation to ensure you can enjoy a comfortable environment and low electricity consumption.

MAINTENANCE FREE

Our composite cladding option is maintenance free and colour stable. Cedar may require an oil treatment to maintain it’s striking colours – however it is structurally stable and resistant to decay for the entire lifespan of your garden room.

ELECTRICAL PACKAGE

Our in house electricians can take care of all of your requirements including connection to your house and running a feed to the garden room. All work is certified by our electricians and is never sub-contracted.

DOUBLE GLAZING

We only use high specification aluminium doors and windows. These come in a large variety of colours to suit your requirements. All glazing meets current building regulations and is of course double glazed and toughened where required.

EPDM RUBBER ROOF

EPDM offers unmatched resistance to UV radiation, extremes of both high and low temperatures, and ultimately ageing. Installed as a single membrane there are no joints, minimising the chance of a leak. An EPDM roof has a life expectancy of 50 years.
